It is enough to be okay at Japanese.

As you get further into a topic that you enjoy, it's common to find out that you actually knew a lot less about it than you thought.
It is painful. But what I didn't realise is that (despite what the masses of people out there on the Internet want you to think) even just the fact that you know your knowledge isn't much, is a proof of knowledge in of itself. Because truly unknowledgable would never get to this point in the Dunning-Kruger effect.

Essentially what I'm saying is; it is enoughfor you to only be "okay" at something, because realistically, nobody else cares.
(Or more accurately, nobody else should care about the fact you're not spending 2 hours a day for the next year on Japanese immersion.)

In this world of extremes, we are expected to devote our lives to one thing to become a master, or be deemed "A Casual."
But... Are casuals really the worst thing ever?

NO!!! THEY'RE NOT!!! Everyone's a casual at something!

So chillax.

On another note! I found this resource, and I am going to try learning about てみる. It's always good to know what I need to learn. Once I know what it is, everything is so much easier! That's probably why I often avoid doing things - I just don't even know how to approch them.
