logically i shouldn't feel guilty, but i do

currently the ailment for my woes is Zurui Maboroshi. i think this is the first song since tuyu's Itsuka Otona ni Naru to Ii Ne that i've actually loved. WHICH IS A LONG TIME. it's like 2 years. PLZ HELP

i sometimes feel guilty over such minor things and overthink stuff. and then i think i must be a "selfish person," despite truly selfish people never really thinking so hard.

even empathising with people who "deserve to be hated"

it's illogical, all i can think is "without love it cannot be seen" /ref, and yet i hear the LITERAL PEOPLE WHO PREACH THAT also diss other characters in the story that quote comes from. absolutely absurd imo. you don't have to like each character, but when you claim to agree with the message of umineko (the vn im talking about), you can't also diss the morally dodgy characters. they literally keep repeating the phrase "without love, it can't be seen," which is essentially; "we are humans who can't tell if something is truth or fiction, so people will create their personal illusions and opinions. we will villainise people or idolise people, because we either love that person or hate them. without love for someone/something, you take all the possible issues with them as definite flaws and attach them. with love for someone/something, you preach benefit of the doubt." AND THEN PEOPLE SEEM TO IGNORE THE MESSAGE AND HATE CHARACTERS IN THE SAME STORY THAT PREACHES THAT. I DONT GET IT BRO. I REALLY DONT.

so i feel bad for feeling bad for fictional characters that are "morally bad"
